Gobierno de Extremadura - Consejería de FomentoLa Consejería de Fomento, Vivienda, Ordenación del Territorio y Turismo, según establece el decreto 208/2011, ejerce las competencias que tenía atribuidas la anterior Consejería de Fomento en materia de infraestructuras hidráulicas y del transporte, de ordenación del territorio, urbanismo y vivienda. Asímismo, se le asignan competencias que en materia de turismo tenía atribuidas la anterior Consejería de Cultura y Turismo.

Participación en el proyecto:
La Consejería de Fomento, Vivienda, Ordenación del Territorio y Turismo del Gobierno de Extremadura, desde la Dirección General de Arquitectura y Vivienda, ha sido la precursora del Proyecto EDEA con el objetivo de desarrollar una metodología de diseño y construcción de viviendas bajo criterios sostenibles y con el empleo de energías renovables para lograr un mejor comportamiento energético y acústico, mejorar la calidad en la edificación y el confort de los usuarios con el fin de poder aplicar los resultados obtenidos en las actuaciones desarrolladas en la política de vivienda de Extremadura.
Por tanto, la Consejería de Fomento como Coordinadora del Proyecto EDEA algunas de las funciones a llevar a cabo son:
Coordinación del Proyecto.
Gestión administrativa y técnica.
Aportación del suelo.
Construcción de los demostradores-viviendas.
Colaboración en el desarrollo de estudios técnicos anteriores y posteriores a los resultados.
Participación en simulaciones.
Participación en el diseño.
Participación en la elección de materiales, sistemas pasivos, instalaciones de energías renovables, etc.
Actividades de difusión del proyecto y resultados.
Contacto con posibles colaboradores externos que puedan aportar un valor añadido.
Vigilancia tecnológica durante todo el desarrollo del Proyecto.
